About Us

We are so glad you are here and taking time to learn about us - though we would much rather learn about you! We currently live in Mascotte, FL with our three children: Lydia, Joanna and Judah. It is our passion to help you find wholeheartedness in your journey with Christ.

I (Peter) have served the church as a worship leader, teaching pastor and recently as the Director of Care at The Grove Church in Clermont, FL. I now serve as the Pastor of Congregational Care and Counseling at Mosaic Church in Winter Garden, FL. You can catch me riding my bike in the Florida sunshine, writing a song, reading a good book or having wild adventures with my kids. I am particularly interested in the areas of spiritual formation, abuse, anxiety, grief and marriage coaching.

I (Jackie) have been a school teacher, homeschool Mom, pastors wife and served in the church in various capacities over the years. I am particularly interested in helping people learn to journey with Jesus after experiencing spiritual abuse, navigating chronic heath issues, depression and the complexities of caring for a child with special needs. I love a good cup of local coffee, laughter, watching the Florida sunset, hearing people’s stories, and playing with my kids.

Our passion for biblical soul care comes through our own journey. During seminary, our daughter Lydia was born with cerebral palsy and serious health issues which significantly changed our lives. For years, we didn’t know how to grieve or recognize what our bodies had been carrying. After seminary, Peter served as a teaching pastor during his first pastoral staff role - and this is when we hit our limit. We navigated a medically complex season with our daughter and a very challenging season in church life, during a pandemic. Peter struggled with depression and anxiety, and as a pastor’s wife with my own chronic health issues, I (Jackie) also struggled with depression. Although we were reading our Bibles, praying and attending church (all really important things!), our emotional/psychological health was deteriorating. We reached out for help and began to see the ways the Scriptures treated us as whole persons, as embodied souls. This began our journey towards wholeheartedness, as we learned to name the realities of our story with honesty and move through valley of the shadow in hope.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” We believe that through the mystery of God’s presence in his people, we are able to mediate the comfort of Christ that has been given to us. Every time that we sit with someone, we do not view ourselves, or the words we have to say to be the ultimate source of healing, but the presence and love of God, made mysteriously present by the Spirit, through the gospel, and in his people.
